Qatar Chamber participated in the consultative meeting between the GCC Ministers of Commerce and the Chairmen of the GCC Federations and Chambers of Commerce and Industry, held in Salalah, Sultanate of Oman.
The Second Vice Chairman of the Chamber, Rashid bin Hamad Al-Athba, stressed that "the Chamber proposes the participation of the private sector in expressing an opinion on the outputs of the advisory studies and the proposed laws related to the private sector, and participation in the technical team of the Food Security Committee and the relevant committees."
Calling for "encouraging joint investments and adopting the slogan "Made in the Gulf" to encourage joint investments, working towards unifying - to some extent - economic policies, and promoting joint projects through partnership between the public and private sectors, such as water interconnection, electrical interconnection, land transport, railway projects, and industrial projects based on technology and innovations."
