Oman's Budget Surplus Records $1.8 Billion

The Omani Ministry of Finance revealed that the Sultanate of Oman recorded a financial surplus of 702 million riyals (about 1.8 billion dollars) in the first seven months of 2023, down from 1.02 billion riyals in the corresponding period last year.

According to the ministry, the Sultanate's average oil production reached one million and 58 thousand barrels per day until the end of July, with an average price of $ 83 per barrel, bringing the net oil revenues to 3 billion and 714 million riyals, down about 3 percent from the corresponding period last year.

The volume of spending amounted to 6 billion and 481 million riyals, and total revenues were 7 billion and 183 million riyals, until July of this year.
