Remittances of Jordanians Abroad Down by 2.4% in 4 Months

Remittances of Jordanians working abroad fell by 2.4 percent during the first four months of this year, year-on-year, compared to the same period last year.

According to data issued by the Central Bank of Jordan, remittances of workers abroad by the end of April amounted to $ 1.103 billion, down from $ 1.132 billion during the corresponding period of 2022. On a monthly basis, the data showed that remittances from workers abroad witnessed an improvement in their performance during April, up 5.5 percent compared to the previous March, to $ 274.8 million.
