The Secretary-General of the Union of Arab Chambers, Dr. Khaled Hanafi, visited the Kingdom of Spain, where he held talks with a number of official officials in Madrid and businessmen, with the participation of the representative of the Arab League mission in Spain, Ambassador Malik Twal, who played an important role in coordinating the agenda of the visit. The visit aimed primarily at strengthening Arab-Spanish economic cooperation, and completing consultations and mechanisms for establishing the Arab-Spanish Chamber.
The Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Spain, Abdullah bin Ibrahim Abdulrahman Sultan Al-Hamar, hosted a reception at his home in Madrid in honor of the Secretary General of the Federation, in the presence of a large number of ambassadors accredited to the Kingdom of Spain. During the meeting, they discussed the establishment and activation of the role of the Arab-Spanish Chamber. The Arab ambassadors praised the role played by the Union of Arab Chambers in strengthening and enhancing economic relations between Arab countries on the one hand and between Arab and foreign countries on the other.
During the visit, the Secretary-General signed a memorandum of understanding with the President of the Spanish Chambers. The agreement aims to strengthen joint cooperation between the Union of Arab Chambers in its capacity as a representative of the Arab private sector and the Chamber of Spain in its capacity as a representative of the Spanish private sector. In the context of activating economic, trade, and investment cooperation between Arab countries and Spain, and upgrading economic relations to the level of future economic challenges, especially in light of the great trade, economic and investment elements enjoyed by both sides.
On the sidelines of the visit, the activities of the Arab-Spanish Forum were held, organized by the League of Arab States, which coordinated the agenda of the visit. The forum enjoyed prominent Arab and Spanish official and economic participation.
The Secretary-General of the Federation, Dr. Khaled Hanafi, delivered a speech at the opening of the forum, in which he noted the depth of diplomatic and political relations between Spain and the Arab countries. He stressed the importance of strengthening economic, trade, and investment relations between the Arab and Spanish sides, especially in the sectors of energy, renewable energy, agriculture, tourism, industry, agriculture, health, and services, in addition to supply chains, logistics, and logistics, as well as the technology sector, digital economy, blockchain, and other promising economic sectors.
The President of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce, the Minister of State for Foreign Trade, the President of the Spanish Institute of Foreign Trade, the President of the Spanish Employers' Association, and the Dean of the Corps also spoke at the opening of the forum.

Dr. Khaled Hanafi held extensive meetings with Spanish businessmen participating in the forum and presented the point of view of the Union of Arab Chambers and the Arab private sector in terms of strengthening joint relations. He also listened to the views of the Spanish side on the prospects of mutual investment between the two sides.
From the Spanish capital, Madrid, the Secretary General of the Union moved to the Spanish city of Granada and met with a number of heads of Spanish companies interested in investing in the Arab region. He also visited the stadium of Granada Football Club, met with the club's president, and discussed the issue of sports investments, which have recently become a large area.
