Deposits in banks operating in Jordan increased by 8.65 percent, amounting to about 3,280.7 million dinars at the end of July of the current year 2022, compared to the same month of last year 2021, to reach 41,195.1 million dinars compared to 37,914.4 million dinars.
Deposits in banks operating in the Kingdom, amounting to about 41,195.1 million dinars, increased by 4.23 percent, and by about 1,672.8 million dinars, compared to a value of 39,522.3 million dinars at the end of last year 2021.
According to data issued by the Central Bank, funds deposited in Jordanian dinars accounted for 77.52 percent of bank deposits in July, with a value of about 31,936.2 million dinars, while deposits in foreign currencies accounted for the remaining percentage, amounting to 22.48 percent, with a value of 9,258.9 million dinars.
Deposits in Jordanian dinars rose by about 8.45 percent, or about 2,559.4 million dinars, compared to July of last year 2021, where deposits in Jordanian dinars amounted to 29,376.8 million dinars. Also, deposits in foreign currencies increased by 4.77 percent, by about 421.6 million dinars, compared to 8.837 million dinars at the end of last year 2021.
