UAE is the First in the Arab World in the Business Environment Index

The UAE ranked first in the Arab world and the Middle East and 15 globally in the latest classification of the future of the business environment issued by The Economist magazine for the period between 2023 and 2027. The UAE advanced 9 ranks from the previous classification for the period between 2018 and 2022, with its improved performance in foreign direct investment policies, foreign trade, market opportunities and political efficiency.

According to the "Economist Intelligence" research unit, the UAE scored 7.931 points on the general index of classification, outperforming countries such as the United Kingdom, France, Austria, Belgium and Taiwan.

The UAE ranks first in the world in terms of business opportunities in the market, second globally in the tax system, and eighth in the labor market.

Saudi Arabia rose from 46th place to 41st place in the global rankings, and ranked among the top ten in terms of market opportunities, while Qatar ranked 21st globally, up from 35th place between 2018 and 2022.

Singapore topped the world rankings with 8.517 points, followed by Canada in second place with 8,395 points, and the United States in third place globally with 8.304 points.
