The Union of Arab Chambers mourns Dr. Elias Tawfiq Ghantous, who served as the Secretary-General of the Union, during the period 2001-2008, and before that as the Assistant Secretary-General where he worked with the family of the Union for forty years.

The Union extends its condolences and sympathy to his family, and the Lebanese and Arab economic family, as his passing represents a great loss to the Arab economic body, being an important Lebanese and Arab economic figure and having prominent activities on the economic level.
