The International Air Transport Association (IATA) expects that the number of travelers in the world will return from the year 2023 to the level of 2019, before the crisis of the "Covid-19" epidemic, which led to the collapse of passenger numbers.

According to the organization's projections, the number of passengers who have transported in the world this year is supposed to constitute 52 percent of their pre-crisis number and to rise to 88 percent in 2022. It is expected that in 2023 it will return to the level of 2019 (105%) and reach 5.6 billion passengers by the end of the decade thanks to an annual growth of 3.9% between 2025 and 2030.

According to IATA forecasts, the loss resulting from the "Covid-19" crisis over the course of two years corresponds to a full decade of losses. In 2020, the level of mobility returned to the level of 2003, with the number of passengers around the world reaching 1.8 billion passengers, according to the International Civil Aviation Organization.

According to the organization, the change will be different according to the regions of the world that Asia-Pacific will advance, with an annual growth rate of 5.4 percent. Whereas, the growth rate in Africa - the Middle East will reach 5%, while Western Europe will record an increase of 2.3%, and North America will reach 1.5%.
