The President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Félix Tshisekedi, called on the Qatari business owners and investors to invest in the Congo, especially in sectors that provide investment opportunities such as agriculture, transportation, infrastructure, minerals and education, pointing to the quest to improve the investment climate in the Congo to become more attractive for investment.
This came during his meeting with Qatari business owners and investors in Doha, in the presence of the First vice-chairman of Qatar Chamber, H.E Mohamed bin Ahmed bin Twar, and a member of the Board of Directors, Mohamed bin Ahmed Mohamed Ali al-Obaidli, and a number of Qatari businessmen.
President Felix Tshisekedi praised the State of Qatar's interest in investing in Africa in general and the Democratic Republic of the Congo in particular, noting that "Africa is the future of the world and humanity, and it is advancing rapidly at the political and economic level, as it has enormous natural and human potential and resources."
He also noted that Congo welcomes the Qatari investments, given that it is rich in many projects that await investors, and that it is working to solve all obstacles facing investment, with the aim of protecting all foreign investments.
