The Chairman of the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Mohammed Jassem Al-Sager, pointed out that "the Chamber's interest in strengthening the economic relations between Kuwait and Italy, which is among the top 10 trading partners with Kuwait."
When receiving the Italian Ambassador in Kuwait, Carlo Baldocci, Al-Sager discussed the perceptions of the mechanism of joint cooperation, after the end of the Corona crisis, proposing the establishment of a platform for economic dialogue between the two countries led by representatives of the private sector with the aim of creating strategic commercial and investment partnerships.
Al-Sager pointed out that "the investment cooperation between the two countries is distinguished", considering that "the post-global epidemic crisis (Covid-19) will provide many commercial and investment opportunities, and will open new horizons for cooperation, especially in the digital and electronic field," emphasizing that the Chamber is fully prepared to harness its capabilities available to the Italian embassy in order to achieve the desired goals."
In his turn, Baldocci stressed "the keenness on communicating with the Chamber, as it is the representative of the Kuwaiti business sector, the main engine in the development of joint economic relations," noting that "the importance of entering into investment and commercial partnerships, and contributing to the implementation of major development projects with the Kuwaiti private sector," praising the Chamber and its positive cooperation with the Italian Embassy, through the establishment of several economic activities in previous years that had a direct impact in opening new channels of economic cooperation.
