Qatari banks succeeded in attracting bank deposits and injecting more loans and credit facilities into the markets.
According to official figures, deposits and credit facilities in Qatar during last November increased by a monthly rate of 0.6% and 2.3% compared to last October, and increased by 4.6% and 9.1% at the annual rate compared to November 2018.
According to the monthly statistics bulletin issued by the Qatar Planning and Statistics Authority, the value of the wide money supply to the banking sector amounted to approximately 563.4 billion riyals (154.7 billion dollars) last November, registering an annual increase of 0.2 percent compared to the same month in 2018, while the value of the quasi-cash, which includes deposits of commercial banks, amounted to about 830.5 billion riyals ($228.1 billion), an annual increase of 4.6 percent.
