President of the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce Ibrahim El-Araby stressed that "there are promising opportunities for Egyptian and Brazilian businessmen for joint cooperation in production for export to penetrate other markets to deepen the principle of tripartite cooperation and production for export," He also pointed out that "Brazil is a key partner for Egypt, both at the level of investment and trade, where joint investments exceeded one billion dollars."

The words of El-Araby came during the opening of the Egyptian-Brazilian Business Forum, which was held today at the General Federation of Chambers of Commerce in the presence of HE Theresa Cristina, the Brazilian Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Forestry and her delegation of Brazilian statesmen and businessmen.

El-Araby stated that "about 11 percent of the Arab world imports of foodstuffs and food industry inputs, amounting to about $100 billion a year, comes from Brazil, and there are great opportunities to double those relations through tripartite cooperation."

He explained that "Egypt has worked hard during the past years on the path of revolutionary reforms to facilitate the investment climate and performance of business, and provided dozens of industrial, commercial and logistical attached areas, and was able to provide multi-modal transport mechanisms, to link Egypt with the world through modern hub ports, road networks, and railways linking us to the neighboring markets to ensure easy access to the global markets. Egypt, in cooperation with the Arab League and the Arab Academy, is also seeking to establish logistic centers in Mercosur countries and direct shipping lines to develop trade exchange.
