The Central Bank of Qatar (QB) disclosed that the Qatari commercial banks' assets, increased during June by 2 percent on a monthly basis to reach an unprecedented record high of 1.455 trillion riyals ($400 billion) compared to 1.426 trillion riyals ($396.7 billion) in May.
Over a whole year, the bank assets rose by 4.5 percent in June, up from 1.392 trillion riyals ($382.5 billion) compared to the same month in 2018. Credit facilities granted by banks also rose by 4.5 percent year-on-year to 971.7 billion riyals ($267 billion) at the end of last month, compared to 929.7 billion riyals ($255.5 billion) at the same month a year ago.
