Qatar Central Bank reserve assets rose by 3.98% in April 2019, the highest level since November 2015.
Qatar Central Bank data reveals that the international reserves and foreign currency liquidity rose to 190.76 billion riyals ($53 billion) in the past month.
Reserves in Qatar recorded 183.46 billion riyals ($50.87 billion) in March.
On a year-on-year basis, the country's reserve rose 31.8%, compared to QAR 144.7 billion ($40.2 billion) in April 2018. The reserve included 56.67 billion riyals ($15.7 billion) as liquid assets in foreign currency, and 58.15 billion riyals ($16.1 billion) as balances with foreign banks.
The Qatari central bank's gold reserves stood at 5.62 billion riyals ($1.55 billion), while the investments in foreign securities and bonds amounted to 68.38 billion riyals ($19 billion).
