The Arab-Chinese Economic Forum, which includes the eighth edition of the Sino-Arab Business Forum and the 6th Arab-Chinese Investment Forum, was launched in Tunis with the participation of Youssef Chahed, the Tunisian Prime Minister, Ziad Al-Azari, the Tunisian Minister of Development, Investment and International Cooperation and a group of Tunisian businessmen, in addition to the Chinese Deputy Prime Minister, the Deputy Minister of Commerce and the Deputy Minister of Chinese Astronautics.
In this regard, Samir Majoul, the President of the Tunisian Union for Industry, Commerce & Trade (Tunisian Businessmen Association), stressed the importance of this forum and the seriousness of its work. He pointed out that the achievement of the eighth session proves the success of the economic orientations programmed between the Chinese and Arab sides. He called on the Chinese to rely on the location of Tunisia to market their products in the African and European continents due to its unique geographical location.
For his part, Dr. Kamal Hassan Ali the Director of Economic and Social Affairs of the League of Arab States, said that "the Arab-Chinese Economic Forum is one of the mechanisms of the Arab League to support the investments in several economic fields, including energy, environment, sustainable development and satellite navigation."
The forum focused on three important economic axes: "Ways to support investment and financial cooperation between the Arab countries and China", "Diversification of Arab-China economic relations in the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution", in addition to the "Investment opportunities and climate in Tunisia".
