UAE: Reserves of Net Foreign Currency Rise 2.42 percent

The Central Bank of the UAE disclosed that the total net foreign reserves in the UAE increased by 2.42% (about 10.293 billion dirhams) in February to reach 434.32, of which 356.81 billion dirhams was the net international reserve at the Central Bank, which increased 3.9% by 13.413 Billion dirhams, and 77.5 billion dirhams net of the international reserve of foreign currencies with banks, which declined by 3.9% in February.

The Central Bank's assets increased during February compared with January, by 3.1% to reach AED 414.381 billion, of which AED 361.92 billion in February, an increase of 3.1% (AED 11.036 billion) in February, the past.

On the other hand, the volume of deposits flow declined during the month of February to 14.677 billion dirhams, down 18.2% compared with 17.922 billion in January. The total assets of banks operating in the UAE witnessed a slight decline of 0.2% in February, reaching AED 2.909 billion, of which AED 709.79 billion were foreign assets, which increased by AED 157 million.
