Qatar's Trade Balance Drops 1.9 percent

According to the statement of Qatar Statistical Planning Authority, the country's trade surplus fell 1.9 percent in February year-on-year to 13.77 billion riyals, affected by a decline in the value of exports by 0.5 percent to 22.26 billion riyals, and the rise of imports’ value by 2 percent to 8.5 billion riyals.

On a monthly basis, Qatar's trade surplus fell in February by 13 percent on the back of a drop of 9.7 percent in total country exports, and imports fell by 3.9 percent.

The value of Qatar's exports of gas in last February was about 14.5 billion riyals, while the value of oil and mineral crude oil amounted to 3.4 billion riyals.
