Protocol of Cooperation Between the Bulgarian & Libyan Unions of Chambers

The Unions Bulgarian and Libyan Chambers of Commerce signed an agreement and a protocol of cooperation aimed at activating the economic cooperation and increasing the trade exchange between Libya and Bulgaria at the headquarters of the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce in Cairo.

The agreement was signed by Saleh Alabidi, the Chairman of Benghazi Chamber of Commerce from the Libyan side & Minishu Yaniv, the President of the Bulgarian Chambers of Commerce from the Bulgarian side, in the presence of Ahmed El-Wakeel, the President of the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce and Dr. Alaa Ezz, the Secretary General.

El-Wakeel said after the signing of the agreement that "there is a strong desire of Bulgaria to participate in the reconstruction of Libya in the coming period, and it is expected that the economic relations between the two countries will witness major breakthrough in the coming period."

For his part, the Bulgarian delegation expressed its readiness to increase the cooperation with the Libyan side in several areas for the sake of reconstruction of Libya.
