The Lebanese Minister of Tourism Avedis Guidanian said that "during the months of January and February of 2018, the number of Gulf tourists reached 8209 tourists, adding that "once the Gulf ban is lifted, all standards change."

Guidanian explained that "in the first three months of 2019, the number of tourists reached 17,751, which means that there has been a growth rate of 110%, noting that in February 2018 there were 2630 Gulf tourists while in February 2019 there were 5031 tourists which means that there is a growth of almost 100%. "

The Minister of Tourism Guidanian met with Bruno Foucher, the French Ambassador to Lebanon and the meeting was an occasion to talk about the tourism relations between the two countries, especially that the number of tourists who came to Lebanon reached 1.965 million tourists in 2018, including 181 thousand French tourists.

Mr. Guidanian asked the French Ambassador to encourage the French nationals to come to Lebanon and reconsider the classification of some Lebanese regions so that "so that could be another stimulator for the French tourists’ arrival to Lebanon, as England did, which lifted the ban on the arrival of its nationals to various Lebanese regions”.
