The total assets of Qatar’s Central Bank increased by 19 percent year-on-year to QAR 227.7 billion in January, while it declined by 2.3 percent on a monthly basis.
Qatar's central bank January bulletin showed a 25.5 percent drop in the central bank balances with local banks to 76 billion riyals on a year-on-year basis, compared to a rise of 28 percent to 57.5 billion riyals of the foreign banks.
The bonds and foreign-currency bills rose 210 percent to 45.3 billion riyals in January, while Qatar's central bank reserves of gold rose to about 5.8 billion riyals, up 39 percent from January 2018.
