Al Rumaithi chairs the meeting of the Board of Directors of the 98th Union of Chambers

Mohammed Thani Murshid Al Rumaithi, the President of UAE Federation of Chambers of Commerce & Industry, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Chamber, presided the 98th Board of Directors meeting of the Federation held at the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in the presence of Deputy Chairman of the Chambers Federation Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, the General Secretary of the Federation Hamid Mohamed Bin Salem, and the heads and representatives of the chambers of commerce and industry in the State, where the meeting discussed a number of issues aimed at enhancing the role of the private sector in the process of economic and social development.

Al-Rumaithi said that "the current and future stage requires us to assess the progress of our union, which was launched in early 1976, in order to identify the achieved objectives, and to strengthen the role of this Federation in line with the hopes of the member chambers and the private sector."

He added: "This meeting is a good opportunity to address the visions, ideas, proposals and projects that not only stand in relation to our desire to strengthen the role of our Federation and strengthen the mechanisms of its Secretariat General in the coming period, but extends to include everything that serves the development that we seek in the world of business and finance."
