Establishing an Arab fund for investment in Technological Fields

Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Kuwait's Deputy Prime Minister announced during the development summit, the initiative of the Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to establish an investment fund in the technological fields with a capital of 200 million dollars. Qatar supported the initiative through injecting $50 million into the fund's capital.

Al-Sabah said in a speech that the proposed fund's capital is $200 million, with the private sector participating in the Arab countries, while Kuwait's share is $50 million, but he did not tell on the nationality of the fund and its geographical location.

For his part, the Qatari Finance Minister Ali Shareef Al Emadi, the direct approval of the Kuwaiti initiative, and announced the guidance of the Emir of the State of Qatar to support the Emir of the State of Kuwait through the contribution of Qatar by 50 million dollars in the capital of this fund.
