Look-Over on the Preliminaries of the “Arab Private Sector Forum” by the Preparatory Committee of the Arab Summit

A Lebanese delegation from the President of the Republic and the Council of Ministers visited the headquarters of the Union of Arab Chambers, to oversee the preparations of the "Arab Private Sector Forum" which should take place on Wednesday 16 January 2019, under the patronage of His Excellency Mr. Saad Hariri, alongside the Arab Economic and Social Development Summit.

The Forum will host a number of Ministers and Heads of Arab Chambers and Arab Banking and Financial Institutions, and will be attended by more than 400 participants from several Arab countries.

The visiting delegation included Ambassador Osama Al Khashab, Member of the Organizing Committee of the Summit, as well as H.E Hazar Karakla, Economic Adviser to the Prime Minister’s Office, and some representatives of the Prime Minister's Office. The guests were received by Dr. Khaled Hanafy, Secretary General of the Union of Arab Chambers and Mr. Rauf Abu Zaki, Executive Chairman of the Economic and Business Group.

Amb. Osama Al Khashab affirmed that the Arab Summit will be held on time and will review the overall preparatory measures undertaken. He also praised the ongoing preparations of the Arab Private Sector Forum which will be organized alongside the Summit, highlighting the importance of the themes raised by the Forum as they reflect the vision of the Arab private sector and will be in line with the economic visions and plans presented in the Arab countries.

Meanwhile, the Organizing Committee informed the Lebanese delegation about the ongoing preparations of the Arab Private Sector Forum, organized by the League of Arab States, the Union of Arab Chambers, the Federation of Lebanese Chambers and Al-Iktissad Wal-Aamal.
