Bahrain's Economic Development Board (EDB) announced that it had attracted 92 foreign companies to the country in 2018 with a total investment of BD 314 million ($ 832.82 million). These investments are expected to create more than 4,700 job opportunities in Bahrain over the next three years.
Khalid Al Rumaihi, Executive Chairman of the Economic Development Board, pointed out during a meeting organized for the public and private sector companies to "the success of the Board in highlighting the Bahraini economic fundamentals for investors and international companies."
The investments that the EDB attracted in 2018 were in sectors including manufacturing and logistics, tourism and real estate, education and health care as well as Information Communication Technology and financial services.
