The Council of Saudi Chambers (CSC) and the Algerian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CACI) held a joint business forum in Algiers to discuss ways to strengthen economic relations between the two countries. The Forum was attended by Youcef Yousfi, Algeria Minister of Energy and Mines, Dr. Majid Al Qasabi, Saudi Minister of Commerce and Investment, Dr. Sami Al Obaidy, CSC Chairman, and Mohammed Al-Eid Bin Omar, President of the ACCI.
Mohamed El-Eid Ben Omar, called for diversifying income and trade channels between the two sides. He also surged Saudi businessmen to invest in Algeria, especially as the Country offers great investment potential in several sectors as well as a firm desire to explore ways of partnership in various fields.
For his part, Dr. Sami Al Obaidy, said: “This meeting reflects the desire of the two sides to meet and continue dialogue to achieve further cooperation and strengthen the close economic relations between the two fraternal Countries,” pointing out that, "The Saudi and Algerian business sectors aspire to hold more of these Forums in an attempt to enhance trade and investment exchanges between the two countries and overcome the obstacles that prevent them from rising to the level of their ambitions.”
