The Emirate of Dubai has been ranked fourth in the list of world travel destinations for the fourth year in a row, according to the results of the index of the World MasterCard destinations for 2018.
The emirate received 15.79 million visitors per night last year, and another year of steady growth is expected in 2018 with an expected growth rate of 5.5 percent.
For the third year in a row, Dubai has retained the first place in spending per night for international visitors, with a total spending of $ 29.70 billion (AED 108.99 billion) in 2017. Abu Dhabi continued to maintain its position as the fastest growing city in MENA region with a growth rate of 18.21% between 2009 and 2017. The capital remained among the top 10 cities in the world with the strongest growth rate for international visitors, according to the MasterCard study.
