Qatar's Chamber monthly report on foreign trade of the private sector showed that Qatar's non-oil exports in the first half of 2018 rose by 33.7 %, on an annual basis.
Accordingly, exports reached 11.5 billion riyals ($3.15 billion) in June 2018, with non-oil exports reaching 8.6 billion riyals ($2.36 billion) in the same period of 2017.
Qatar's non-oil exports rose by 108 percent in June 2018 y.o.y to reach 1.65 billion riyals ($ 453 million) in 2018. The Chamber attributed the significant difference in the value of exports to the repercussions of the crisis that took place in the first week of June 2017. However, Qatar’s private sector quickly offset the decline, through alternative export destinations, that it succeeded to launch in many countries around the world.
