Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) Chairman Sameer Abdullah Nass met with Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Turkmenistan, in the presence of the Second Deputy Chairman of the Chamber, Mohamed Abduljabbar Mahmood Alkooheji and the acting Treasurer Aaref Ahmed Ali Hejres.
During the meeting, they stressed the importance of developing economic and trade relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Turkmenistan in light of the distinguished relations between the leaders of the two friendly countries and they discussed the proposal of organizing the Bahrain-Turkmenistan Business Forum in the coming period in Ashgabat in addition to enhancing the common projects between the business owners from both parties in view of the availability of investment opportunities in a number of economic sectors such as oil, gas, petrochemicals, food and textiles.
The chamber chairman stressed on "the importance of facilitating the procedures for obtaining a visa to enter the Republic of Turkmenistan, in addition to the need to exchange visits between trade delegations, which will contribute to the establishment of several joint investment projects."
For his part, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Turkmenistan welcomed the strengthening of cooperation mechanisms with the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry to achieve all that would activate the bilateral trade and investment relations.
