The President of the Union of Arab Chambers and the Chairman of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce, Senator Nael Raja Al-Kabariti, said that "the commercial sector, with all its components of chambers, associations and unions, hopes for real partnership with the government on the ground, when making economic decision or when drafting laws and legislation." This was during an extensive economic meeting in the presence of the Jordanian Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Dr. Tarek Al-Hammouri.
Al-Kabariti stressed that there should be a study of the tax burden borne by the commercial and services sector as being the biggest motive for taxes, and that companies committed to the law should not be punished, calling for a review of the Bar Association Law.
Al-Kabariti assured that "the economic situation in the Kingdom is at its worst and has not been pledged by the Kingdom for decades, although some official figures indicate otherwise, but on the ground it is different," calling for "thinking of mechanisms to move the economic wheel and involve the private sector with".
Al-Kabariti appreciated some of the economic decisions taken recently by the government, pointing out that "the trade agreements signed between the Kingdom and other countries should not be canceled and that a time frame should be assigned upon signature for its importance to the trader who builds up on it his work and investments”.
