"Canada will impose retaliatory customs duties on US exports having the sum of 16.6 billion Canadian dollars (12.8 billion USD) and will appeal against the US import duties decision to impose fees on steel and aluminum under the North American Free Trade Agreement and the World Trade Organization," Canadian Foreign Minister Christia Freeland said.
On the other hand, Mexican Foreign Minister Luis Figuargai said "Mexico will continue to negotiate with the United States to amend the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) despite the unfair and unilateral tariff measures taken by the US government."
