Al-Rajhi Discusses the Development of Economic Relations with Algeria

Chairman of the Council of Saudi Chambers, Eng. Ahmed Bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi, discussed with the Chairman of the Algerian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mohammed Al-Eid bin Omar the aspects of joint cooperation and ways to develop economic relations between the two countries.
The Saudi-Algerian Joint Business Council was held at the headquarters of the Council of Saudi Chambers, with the participation of the Saudi Head of the Council Raed bin Ahmed Al Mazroua, and the head of the Algerian side of the Council Mohammed Al-Eid Bin Omar and the presence of Saudi and Algerian businesspersons where economic and trade cooperation between the business sectors in both countries were discussed.

The head of the Saudi side in the Saudi-Algerian Business Council, Raed Al-Mazroui, spoke about the distinguished relations between the two countries and the efforts made during the previous session and the beginning of this working session, pointing to the great aspirations of both sides for investment cooperation and work to increase the volume of investments and trade which he described to be very little, compared to the potentials of both countries.

Al Mazrouei urged the Algerian side in the Joint Business Council to lead the movement with the Algerian groups to present the Kingdom as an investment option in light of 2030 vision of initiatives and investment opportunities and to create investment partnerships in various fields with their Saudi counterparts.


For his part, Algerian Chairman of the Joint Business Council and Chairman of the Algerian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mohammed Al-Eid Ben Omar stressed the importance of working to diversify revenues and increase trade exchanges and partnerships between the two sides, he also called on Saudi investors to invest in Algeria, especially as there is a tendency to abandon the importation of products from abroad. This should be a catalyst for the entry of the Algerian market, in addition to the advantages of Algeria and the potential of large and promising investment in several sectors, as well as a desire to discuss the possibilities of partnership in various fields.
