Under the auspices of the Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce, Pyramids International Group is organizing the International Building-Construction and Machinery Exhibition (Erbil Building) during the period from 25-28 February 2020, on the ground of the Erbil International Fair.
The organization of the exhibition comes as a result of the development of construction work and the building materials market, which contributed to increasing the volume of investments in the main infrastructure in Iraq, water supply projects, wastewater treatment plant, power plant, hospitals, building schools, road construction and airways, and building bridges and ports.
Given the increase in the number of reconstruction, repair and construction projects and the amount required to invest in this field, which is about $100 billion, it is expected that the dynamics will remain dominant in the construction and machinery sector for the coming years, especially given the availability of flooring and a strong foundation for the production of construction-related materials in Iraq, as the Iraqi government seeks to build a strong partnership between the government and private sectors in the construction sector, in addition to the steel, cement, glass and marble sectors.
According to research, 44,700 new housing units are needed in Basra, and the same is in Erbil and Baghdad, which requires a large amount of investment from the private sector.
It is worth noting that the priority of the Iraqi government is the rehabilitation of railway networks and the generation, transmission, and distribution of electricity.
