Union of Arab Chambers participated in the third meeting to consider the amendment of the “Unified Agreement for the Investment of Arab capital in Arab countries (Amended)”. The meeting was held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States in Cairo during the period 7-9 May 2018 and was chaired by the representative of the Sultanate of Oman, Advisor Ahmed Bin Ali Bin Hamad Bin Arrabeh.

The meeting was based on paragraph (b) of the Economic and Social Council resolution at the ministerial level (N ° 2171 D. A (101) - 8/2/2018), which provided that "Arab States shall be invited to submit to the General Secretariat their observations and views on the Agreement. Also to invite a committee of experts from the relevant investment and legal experts in the Arab States and the Arab League to study these observations and propose the appropriate mechanism for amending the Agreement, in preparation for the submission of the Agreement to the Economic and Social Council for consideration.
