Sustainable tourism and its importance to the Arab world

The United Nations General Assembly on December 29, 2016, proclaimed 2017 as a global year for sustainable tourism for development. The goal is to increase public and private sector decision-makers' awareness of the importance of sustainable tourism contribution to the development and to motivate all stakeholders to work together to make tourism a catalyst for change for the better.
