The presidency of the Federation of Chambers of the Gulf Cooperation Council officially transferred from the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry to the Federation of Saudi Chambers of Commerce. Where the Board of Directors of the Federation of Gulf Chambers begins its 22nd session headed by the President of the Federation of Saudi Chambers, Ajlan bin Abdulaziz Al-Ajlan, and the Chairman of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Eng. Rida Bin Juma Al Saleh, as First Vice President, and Sheikh Khalifa Bin Jassim Al Thani, President of the Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as Second Vice President.

The new president of the Federation of Gulf Chambers, Ajlan Al-Ajlan, stressed "the serious work to develop the union and enhance its role in achieving the aspirations of Gulf economic integration." He stressed "the importance of the role of the institutional bodies of the Gulf private sector represented by the Federation of Gulf Chambers and Chambers of Commerce in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries during this stage, including the economic challenges that require launching initiatives, doubling and continuing efforts to overcome them, including challenges related to the Corona pandemic."

Al-Ajlan stressed that "the Gulf business sector, with its abilities and capabilities, is able to compete globally and contribute to supporting the economic, development and human trends of the countries of the region." Considering that "the Federation of Gulf Chambers has before it today an important program of work that falls into the axis of the joint Gulf economic work, and through which it seeks to strengthen the bonds of Gulf economic cooperation. In addition to deepening economic integration, and pushing joint economic work to new horizons to achieve the desired goal of economic integration in the Gulf Cooperation Council."
