The head of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Sameer Abdullah Nass, stressed that "the future depends on the role of the private sector to support the government's efforts to protect the national economy, and enhance its role in leading economic development and creating a climate that stimulates growth and innovation, especially as the private sector is the cornerstone of any development and economic effort."

He considered that "achieving sustainable development depends on our success in finding a strong private sector capable of assuming its responsibilities", stressing that "the Chamber will stand by the government and support all its efforts to address the economic impacts and repercussions of the post-Corona crisis, especially on small and medium enterprises that will be most affected by the crisis".

Nass added: "The Chamber has already submitted its views to the government on ways to protect the national economy from the negative repercussions of the virus outbreak, and it has been adopted and announced within the financial and economic decisions supporting the private sector."

He also reaffirmed the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry for all efforts and measures taken by the Kingdom in dealing with the Coronavirus.
