An International Road Map for the rehabilitation of the Sudanese Economy

The World Bank has revealed a tripartite agreement between it and the International Monetary Fund and the African Development Bank, which stipulates setting a road map for the rehabilitation of the Sudanese economy.

In this context, the World Bank representative, Asta Barista, confirmed, when meeting the Sudanese Minister of Industry and Trade Madani Abbas Madani, that "the World Bank seeks through the road map to achieve economic development in Sudan and to engage in global markets", pointing to "the existence of an agreement between the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund and the African Development Bank on a road map for the rehabilitation of Sudan."

The meeting of the representative of the International Monetary Fund and the Sudanese Minister discussed the political and economic challenges that Sudan faces in the transitional phase, in addition to the opportunities available to support the private industrial sector, and finance the small, medium and craft industries sector, in order to increase production, support development, and develop local markets, in addition to financing various projects, rehabilitation and modernization, and opening opportunities for work in the public and private sectors in accordance with an economic strategy that uses electronic technology.

The Minister of Industry and Trade pointed out the importance of the steps taken by the state in enhancing confidence in the markets, achieving development and production, protecting the investor, and developing the industry and marketing sector through a clear strategic plan.
