Qatar GDP Estimates Amounts to QAR 402.3 Billion

Qatar's GDP in the first half of 2019 was estimated at QAR 402.3 billion at constant prices, compared with half-year estimates of QAR 403.4 billion, a slight decline of 0.002 percent, according to the quarterly data from the Planning and Statistics Authority.

The data showed that the estimates of GDP at current prices amounted to about 331.8 billion riyals in the first half of this year, which is the same estimates of the same period of 2018 of 322 billion riyals.

The data from the Planning and Statistics Authority showed that the estimates of the value added for the mining sector amounted to QAR 116.9 billion at current prices in the first half of 2019, compared to the second half of 2018, which amounted to QAR 113.3 billion, registering a growth of 3.5%. Estimates of the value added of the mining and mineral exploitation sector at constant prices amounted to QAR 191.5 billion in the first half of 2019, registering a slight decrease compared to the estimates for the second half of 2018, which amounted to QAR 192.1 billion.
