Qatari Trade Balance Surplus Upsurge

Qatar's trade balance, according to the data of the Planning and Statistics Authority, achieved a surplus of QR 109 billion during the first eight months of 2019.

According to the data, the total value of exports reached 180.3 billion riyals since the beginning of the year and exports of mineral fuels and lubricants accounted for about 85% of the total exports.

Total imports fell in the first eight months of 2019 by 5 percent to 71.3 billion riyals, compared with 75 billion riyals in the same period last year, and the volume of imports of cars intended for transporting individuals about 2.5 billion riyals.

Qatar has strengthened its strategic relations with major and friendly countries, as well as boosting its economy and increasing self-sufficiency, and has been able to increase the volume of its exports abroad, as well as the destinations of Qatari exports to most countries of the world.
