UAE Ranked 3rd in the "Emerging Markets Index"

The United Arab Emirates ranked first in the Arab region and third in the world after China and India, for a fifth consecutive year, according to the Agility Emerging Markets Logistics Index for 2019. UAE also ranked first on the Business Fundamentals Standard.

The Gulf countries outperformed most other emerging markets in the 10th annual edition of the index, which broadly measures the competitiveness of logistics and business fundamentals in the emerging states. The favorable business conditions and key strengths have given top ranks for the Gulf countries and put it at the forefront of the index after the two giant markets China and India, along with Southeast Asia countries.

The Gulf countries topped the rankings in the index, with the UAE ranking third in the world, Saudi Arabia 6th, Oman 12th, Bahrain 16th, and Kuwait 18th. In Southeast Asia, Indonesia ranked 4th in the world, Malaysia 5th, Vietnam 10th, Thailand 11th, Philippines 20th because of its strong performance.
