Bahrain Endorses a Government Program that Focuses on the Role of the Private Sector

The Bahraini Cabinet, chaired by Salman bin Hamad bin Al Khalifa, Deputy King, Crown Prince of Bahrain, approved in an extraordinary session the government's work program for the next four years 2019-2022. The program to be presented to the House of Representatives for adoption and approval.

The program focuses mainly on the important role of the private sector in leading the Bahraini economy, improving the working governmental environment, and improving the environment and climate of investment. The program also focuses on reducing expenses and optimizing the use of financial resources so that the financial balance program implemented by the Bahraini government achieves its objectives, Balance revenues and expenses.

The Bahraini government, which started early this year to apply the value-added tax, which is expected to support the public treasury by 796 million dollars (300 million dinars), to strengthen the financial balance program launched in October 2018 aiming at supporting the monetary stability.
