Algeria's Trade Deficit Shrinks to 6.58 percent

Algeria's energy revenues rose 18.21 percent in the first 10 months of this year compared to the same period of 2017, reducing the trade deficit to 6.58 percent.
Oil and gas exports, which account for 93.17 percent of total exports, reached 31.795 billion dollars, up from 26.896 billion dollars in the January-October period last year.
Total exports amounted to $ 34.126 billion, compared to $ 28.424 billion in the first 10 months of 2017, while imports fell 0.35 percent to $ 38.240 billion, bringing the deficit to $ 4.114 billion from $ 9.95 billion in the same period last year.
Exports of non-hydrocarbon fuels reached $ 2.33 billion during the first ten months of this year, despite of its rise by 52.55 percent from the same period in 2017.
