Council of Saudi Chambers Acknowledges Strong Economic Ties with Iraq

The President of the Council of Saudi Chambers, Dr. Sami Al Obaidy, highlighted the distinguished economic relations between Saudi Arabia and Iraq. He stressed that "what binds the two countries is not just their closeness and common interests, but ties of fraternity, history and destiny.”
Al Obaidy welcomed the President of Iraq, Barham Salih, in the Saudi Kingdom in response to the invitation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul Aziz, confirming the growing and steady relations enjoyed between the two countries thanks to the efforts of the two leaders. He pointed out that "the visit comes within the framework of constructive relations between the Kingdom and Iraq, and the joint efforts towards promoting them in many areas."
The President of the Council of Saudi Chambers emphasized on the necessity of promoting joint economic relations between Saudi and Iraq to achieve the aspirations of the two countries. He stated, "the development of economic relations between Saudi and Iraq would contribute to stimulating exports between the two countries, which is an important factor as Iraq represents a large market for Saudi."
