Tourism in Bahrain is Growing by 5.3 percent

Sheikh Khaled Al Khalifa, Chief Executive Officer of Bahrain Tourism and Exhibition Authority (BTI), has revealed that tourism in Bahrain has increased by 5.3% since the beginning of the year, expecting further growth in the near future.
"More than 9.1 million tourists have visited Bahrain since the beginning of the year," Al Khalifa said in an interview with Al Arabiya.net on the sidelines of the World Travel Market. "The revenues of this year's “Shop Bahrain” festival have doubled compared to last year, from 8 million dinars to 19 million dinars."
"Bahrain has been focusing on the Gulf tourism. To this end, a tourism promotion office has been opened in Saudi Arabia, focusing on family tourism. Sales of tourism promotions increased by 86 percent and tourist nights by 26 percent. As a result of these positive indicators, another office will be opened in Kuwait in 2019."
