Qais Al-Yousef Meets with the International Labor Organization’s (ILO) Delegation

Mr. Qais bin Mohammed Al-Yousef, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, met with a delegation from the International Labor Organization (ILO) headed by Moussa Amaru, in presence of Dr. Ruba Jaradat, Regional Director of the International Labor Office in Beirut, and a number of experts.
The meeting reviewed the ethics of decent work and ways to improve them, as a result of the National Program for Decent Work and in cooperation with the International Labor Organization, which is working on developing operational skills according to the requirements of the labor market. The meeting also discussed the mechanisms for program’s implementation in ways to develop the relationships between the three parties involved.
During the meeting, Al-Yousef affirmed the Chamber's readiness to work on developing the relations between the Chamber and the Organization, in view of enhancing the performance of the private sector and reinforcing cooperation between the three parties involved (government, the private sector, and labor union).
In turn, Moussa Amaru praised the Sultanate's peace of the community and working environment for developing operational programs.
