Mr. Mohamed Choucair, Chairman of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture in Lebanon, pointed out that "the investment promotion law exists but needs to be amended and it is embarrassing to leave such commercial laws outdated."
Mr. Choucair stressed that "everyone in Lebanon knows that Lebanon cannot continue with this amount of corruption," clearing out that "the basic condition of the donor countries at the Cedar Conference was the fight against corruption and the amendment of some laws."
He continued stating that, “the adoption of the public-private sectors partnership law by the Government, allowed Lebanon to raise $11 billion from the Cedar conference held several months ago in Paris, while we thought we would not get more than $6 billion." He concluded on the positive statement that "there is confidence in the Lebanese private sector and all sectors will be funded after the formation of the government."
