Chairman of Qatar Chamber Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al-Thani said that: “The cooperation relations between Qatar and the United States of America have witnessed a great development in various fields, especially economic and trade ones, in light of the keenness of the two friendly countries to enhance economic cooperation and remove all obstacles that faces mutual investments, and granting many facilities to attract investors, and strengthen relations between businessmen to benefit the economies of the two countries.”
Al Thani assured in his speech during the Qatari-American Economic Forum held in Miami, America that “The private sector in the two countries is working to strengthen these relations through joint cooperation, and the role played by Qatar Chamber and the American Chamber of Commerce, aiming at increasing the size of trade exchange between the two friendly countries, which in 2017 amounted to about 6 billion dollars, as the United States is one of the most important trading partners of Qatar,” pointing out that “in terms of mutual investments, Qatar's investments in the United States, estimated at tens of billions of dollars is varying to include different fields such as Technology, Media, Entertainment, Energy, and & Real Estate.”
