The gross domestic product (GDP) of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries reached $587.8 billion by the end of Q4 2024, up from $579 billion at the end of Q4 2023 — a growth rate of 1.5%.
According to data released by the GCC Statistical Center, non-oil activities contributed 77.9% to the GCC's GDP, compared to 22.1% from oil-related activities. The manufacturing sector accounted for 12.5%, wholesale and retail trade for 9.9%, construction for 8.3%, public administration and defense for 7.5%, finance and insurance for 7%, and real estate activities for 5.7%, while other non-oil sectors contributed 27%.
