The US Federal Reserve lowered its forecast for US economic growth for the current and next two years compared to its March forecast.
The Federal Reserve expects US GDP growth to reach 1.4% this year, down from 1.7% in its March forecast. The Fed also expects economic growth in 2026 to reach 1.6%, down from 1.8% previously, while maintaining its growth forecast for 2027 at 1.8%.
The Fed raised its inflation forecast for the current and next two years, projecting an inflation rate of 3% for 2025, down from 2.7% previously. The Fed also expects inflation to reach 2.4% in 2026, down from 2.2% in its March forecast, and 2.1% in 2027, down from 2% previously.
