The contribution of the travel and tourism sector to the Gulf GDP by the end of 2024 was about 11.4 percent, worth $ 247.1 billion.
The latest data issued by the Statistical Center for the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf showed that the growth rate of the sector's contribution to the Gulf GDP increased by about 31.9 percent, compared to 2019.
The data indicate that the contribution of the travel and tourism sector to the GDP of the Gulf Cooperation Council in the global output for 2024 amounted to 2.2 percent. The travel and tourism sector's contribution to the Gulf GDP is expected to reach 13.3 percent in 2034, reaching $371.2 billion. The average expected annual growth of the sector's contribution from 2024 to 2034 is more than 4.2 percent.
